Bio

Olive graduated from the University of Washington with a BS in Chemistry in 2020. Prior to graduation, Olive participated in Dr. Bisceglia’s research group at Hofstra University, focusing on development and validation of a GC-MS method for detection of illicit drug contents in wastewater. Olive joined the Bush lab and Keller lab in fall of 2023 as a MSACST student working on a collaborative project alongside Dr. Bush, Dr. Keller, and Dr. Black. Currently, her research focuses on development and validation of a LC-MS/MS method for detection and quantification of specific amino acids and dipeptides in an Origin of Life environment. The purpose of this research is to investigate the capability of cell formation in proposed early atmospheric environments.
