Bio
Theresa Gozzo graduated from The College of William and Mary in 2018 with a B.S. in chemistry and a minor in biochemistry. During her time there, she performed research under the direction of Drs. John C. Poutsma and Mark H. Forsyth and completed an honors thesis on her work using bottom-up proteomics to investigate post-translational modification of a transcription factor of the infectious bacterium, Helicobacter pylori. In the Bush lab, she focuses on developing methods for predicting ion mobility arrival time distributions from structural models to expand our understanding of the relationship between native structures in solution and ion mobility-mass spectrometry (IM-MS) results. She also uses Cation to Proton Transfer Reactions (CAPTR) to study proteins in the gas-phase and the connections between charge state, protein structure, and solution conditions.
